A hike around the impressive, craggy limestone Gastlosen massif whose vertical rock faces reach a height of nearly 300 meters. Also known as the Swiss Dolomites, this is a rewarding hike with stunning views of the Bernese Alps.

We will meet at the bottom of the Jaun-Gastlossen chairlift. We will walk towards the Chalet du Soldat across a forest and through an easy but steady uphill track. The track gets narrower and steeper as we get closer to the Gastlossen rocky formation. We will have picnic on the top as we enjoy the views and we'll continue towards a well earned drink on a buvette before reaching out the end of the trek.

Hours: 4h30 walking time – plus additional time for lunch and breaks
Elevation: +/- 700m
Difficulty: Medium (this hike is not technically difficult, but it'll require good pace and a little bit of cardio on some of the sections)
